More precisely, <strong>La V\u00e9lomaritime<\/strong> starts in <strong>Roscoff<\/strong> and goes as far as <strong>Bray-Dunes<\/strong> on the <strong>Belgian border<\/strong> near <strong>Dunkirk<\/strong>. It continuously follows the <strong>Channel coast<\/strong> and traverses the most beautiful landscapes of <strong>Hauts-de-France<\/strong>. It passes through <strong>unmissable natural and historical sites<\/strong>.   The Pink Granite Coast, the Capes of Erquy and Frehel, Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay, the D-Day Landing Beaches, the cliffs of \u00c9tretat, the Bay of Somme, the Opal Coast and the Two Capes, Dunkirk and the Flanders dunes\u2026<br \/>\nThis world-renowned route uses <strong>shared roads<\/strong> with low traffic and <strong>safe greenways for cyclists<\/strong>. It takes you to discover the <strong>most beautiful villages in France<\/strong>, sites listed as <strong>UNESCO World Heritage<\/strong>, <strong>national monuments<\/strong>, and <strong>sites labeled<\/strong> <strong>Grand Site de France<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>The route also passes between more than 50 coastal lighthouses! It takes you from <strong>Utah Beach<\/strong> through the marshes of the <strong>Cotentin<\/strong> <strong>and Bessin Regional Natural Park<\/strong>. The route follows the oyster farms of the <strong>Baie des Veys<\/strong> and the <strong>Domaine de Beauguillot nature reserve<\/strong>, preserved places connecting land and sea. Following the canal, you will arrive at <strong>Carentan-les-Marais<\/strong>, a charming town with a medieval past at the gateway to <strong>Cotentin<\/strong>.
