Mulled wine, local crafts, magical illuminations… Here’s our selection of not-to-be-missed Christmas markets in December 2025.
1. Cherbourg-en-Cotentin Christmas Market
It’s undoubtedly the biggest and liveliest in the department. Located on Place de Gaulle, it offers a truly immersive experience, with some thirty wooden chalets.

A little extra: The city’s illuminations are spectacular, and there’s plenty to keep you entertained at weekends with concerts and street performances.
2. Saint-Lô Christmas Village
At the foot of the ramparts, Saint-Lô sets up its festive village on Place du Général de Gaulle. A friendly atmosphere perfect for families.

3. Granville Christmas market
Head for the “Monaco du Nord” for a quality craft market. Square Marland and Cours Jonville welcome local artisans and designers.

4. Christmas in Coutances
The majestic cathedral watches over the Christmas market set up in Place du Parvis and Place Saint-Nicolas.

5. Markets near Utah Beach (Carentan and Sainte-Mère-Église)
For an outing closer to the campsite, don’t miss the local markets, which often last for a festive weekend.

Carentan-les-Marais: Join us on Sunday, December 14, 2025 (10am-6pm) for an authentic market under the medieval arcades and on Place de la République.

Sainte-Mère-Église: Also scheduled for Sunday, December 14, 2025, this market is ideal for finding souvenir gifts linked to local history or Normandy’s terroir.
